At Always Hear, we remove wax using the micro-suction or vacuuming procedure, which is the safest and most effective method. We show you the before and after images of your ear canal so you can see the results.

BTE Behind-The-Ear

Before you start ensure that your hands are clean and dry. Using only alcohol wipes, tissues or the cleaning brush provided wipe/brush off any ear wax. The microphone is located at the part that sits on the top of the ear, therefore dust can get into it and you will need to brush it at leaset once a week. The little rubber domes that go in your ear can block up and may need to be changed, when removing the rubber dome you can also change the wax filter, the wax filter should be replaced at least once a month.

ITE In-The-Ear

Using a tissue or alcohol wipe remove all ear wax. Brush the wax guard filter daily to prevent blockage. When cupping the hearing device in your hand it should make a high pitch squealing sound if there is no sound your wax guard will need to be replaced.
